Day 49

Today, I:

• woke up at 4am to watch France's first World Cup game — 3-1 victory over Senegal
• at Spacely, built a Jira app that correctly calculates and displays burndown and velocity charts — default Jira settings didn't fit our needs (many statuses we count as DONE, different sprint-point attributes across multiple workspaces), so we couldn't track the dev team's velocity precisely before
• watched Beginner System Design Interview: Design Bitly w/ a Ex-Meta Staff Engineer — counter + base62 short codes, 301 vs 302 redirects, read/write split, and Redis read-through cache for the redirect path
